Hi Abraham,

yes, it should "just work". The same plugin contains both versions. FCP7 will use the 32-bit version, and FCPX / Motion 5 will use the 64-bit one.

Is it possible to have both Conduit 2.2 64bit and the previous version (32bit) on the same Mac Pro running with FCPX and FCS7 independently? So we have Conduit 2.2 64 bit running when FCPX is running and the previous running when FCS7 is running. Thank you!

Hi Sam,

the 64-bit update will be available within weeks (hopefully next week).

FCP X is very different. I've had to do some experimenting on how best to offer Conduit in the new Final Cut. Unlike FCP 7, the new version doesn't support custom parameters anymore, so it's not possible to offer the "Show Conduit Editor" button directly in the filter interface... Instead, we need to publish effect presets for FCP users.

This is not all bad news! The new Motion 5 has a really great "Rig & Publish" feature that allows the user to publish Conduit effects to FCP X. The published effect looks just like one of FCP's built-in filters, but you get to decide the slider names and ranges right there in Motion. For example, one could make a film look effect in Conduit with a few sliders to control parameters like contrast and noisiness, and publish that to FCP X with the correct names. This is really convenient -- you can essentially think of Conduit as a "plugin construction kit" for FCP X.

That's for FCP X. In Motion 5, the updated Conduit filter continues to work as before... And it's fully 64-bit, of course.

With Motion 5 priced at only $49, I think Motion + Conduit are a really great combination for many kinds of effect work. I'm pretty sure there's isn't another nodal compositing package on this planet that would be more affordable or would render faster :)

Would it be possible to adapt the plugin to "colorcode 3d" (amber/blue) specifications? Or, if those are not publicly available, to add pickers or sliders for the input colours to play around with? Or to post a hint as to which part of the code to modify to change the colors (I'll have a look myself, but not being a programmer, am not sure that I'd be able to figure it out myself. Thanks, and thanks for the plugin, it's great fun!

Hi, great software that Conduit is, nice work !
I only have one regret : There is no YUV keying node with softness, and color picking enabled. Each time I have to construct my compositing tree with lots of nodes to try to replicate this, but without any great success. (The 3dkeyer is ok, but keys with only one color.)
Does someone already thought of that and made a plugin ? It would be cool to implement such a thing in a next version, as for me, this is the only thing missing....
